This Powermaster fixed GU10 downlight is a recessed ceiling fitting for GU10 bulbs, supplied as a pack of 3 in a chrome finish. It's a fixed (non-adjustable, non-tilting) downlight housing, designed to be recessed into a ceiling and wired into your lighting circuit. Dimensions are approximately 86mm (H) x 76mm (W) x 76mm (D). This listing is for the fitting itself, not a light bulb — a GU10 bulb needs to be fitted separately.

Where to use it
These are indoor downlights, well suited to kitchens (away from direct steam), hallways, living rooms and bedrooms. Powermaster doesn't publish an IP (ingress protection) rating for this fitting, so we can't confirm it's suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use — for a bathroom zone 1 or 2, or any outdoor location, use a downlight that's specifically rated IP44 or IP65 for that zone instead.
How it's installed
Unlike swapping a bulb, fitting a recessed downlight involves cutting into the ceiling and connecting it to your mains lighting circuit. This should be installed, or at least checked, by a qualified electrician — in the UK, fixed wiring work like this falls under Part P of the Building Regulations in kitchens and bathrooms. Once it's wired in, GU10 bulbs are simply twisted in and out of the fitting in the usual way, with the power off.

Dimming depends on the bulb you fit and having a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit, not on the fitting itself. Fit a dimmable LED GU10 bulb and use an LED-compatible dimmer switch to dim it.
Can I use this in a bathroom?
