Description
Description
This TCP LED GU10 spotlight bulb gives a bright 250 lumen output in a crisp 6500K daylight white, built into a glass-bodied bulb on the standard 36° GU10 twist-and-lock base. At 3.3W each (roughly a 20W halogen equivalent), it's a simple, low-running-cost swap for older halogen GU10 downlights, and the daylight colour temperature makes it well suited to kitchens, bathrooms and utility spaces where clear, functional light matters most. This listing is for a pack of 4 bulbs.
Key features
- 250 lumens per bulb
- 3.3W LED (approx. 20W halogen equivalent)
- 6500K daylight white light
- 36° beam angle, standard GU10 spot
- Rated for around 15,000 hours of use
- Pack of 4 bulbs
What this bulb is best for
The clean 6500K daylight tone suits task-focused rooms such as kitchens, utility rooms and bathrooms (fitting permitting - see FAQs below), where a brighter, whiter light helps with everyday jobs like food prep or getting ready in the morning. It also works well in hallways, landings and garages, where an alert, daylight-style light is more useful than a warm glow.
How to fit it
- Turn off the power at the switch before you start.
- If you're replacing an old bulb, let it cool down fully first.
- Twist the old bulb anticlockwise a quarter turn and pull it free.
- Push the new TCP GU10 bulb in and twist clockwise until it clicks into place.
- Restore power at the switch.
GU10 bulbs run directly on mains voltage, so there's no transformer or separate driver to fit - it's a like-for-like swap in your existing fitting.
Frequently asked questions
Is this TCP 250 lumen bulb dimmable?
This pack is a standard on/off LED spotlight rather than a dimmable model. If you need a dimmable GU10 for the same fitting, see our TCP 345 lumen dimmable range linked below.
How bright is 250 lumens?
250 lumens is roughly equivalent to a 20-25W halogen GU10, which is a good general-purpose brightness for spotlights used in multiples, such as a run of four or six downlights in one room.
Is a 4-pack enough for one room?
A pack of four is a practical size for a single downlight circuit, such as a small kitchen or bathroom ceiling, without buying more bulbs than you need in one go.
Will these fit my existing downlights?
Yes, provided your fitting takes a standard GU10 twist-and-lock bulb, which is the current UK standard for spotlight downlights.
