Description
Description
This pack of 2 TCP LED GU10 Spotlight Bulbs gives 250 lumens of soft 2700K warm white light per bulb, using around 3.3W each, with a white finish and a 25,000 hour rated life. Compact and non-dimmable, they are an easy drop-in for kitchens, hallways and living rooms where a slightly lower brightness than our 345 lumen bulbs is preferred.
Key features
- Pack of 2 matched GU10 LED bulbs, white finish
- 250 lumens per bulb, 2700K warm white colour temperature
- Approx. 3.3W LED consumption for low running costs
- 36° beam angle, the standard GU10 spot spread
- Rated for 25,000 hours of use
- Non-dimmable, mains voltage (220-240V), no transformer needed
What this bulb is best for
At 250 lumens this bulb gives a softer level of light than our 345 lumen options, which suits smaller rooms, landings, or fittings with several sockets where you do not want the room overly bright. The matched pack of 2 keeps colour and brightness consistent across a twin fitting.
How to fit it
- Turn off the power at the light switch (or isolate at the consumer unit if working on the fitting).
- Let any existing bulb cool fully before handling it.
- Twist the old bulb anticlockwise a quarter turn and remove it from the GU10 fitting.
- Line up the pins of the new TCP GU10 bulb and twist clockwise until it clicks into place.
- Restore the power and test the light. GU10 LEDs run directly on mains voltage, so no transformer or separate driver is required.
Frequently asked questions
Is 250 lumens bright enough for a kitchen?
250 lumens per bulb works well in a kitchen when you have several GU10 downlights spread across the ceiling; for a single feature spotlight you may prefer our brighter 345 lumen TCP bulbs.
What size is this bulb?
It is a standard compact GU10 spotlight shape, around 5.4cm tall and 5cm wide, so it fits the same recessed downlights and spotlight bars as other GU10 bulbs.
Why choose the 250 lumen pack over the 345 lumen pack?
Choose 250 lumens where you want a slightly softer, more subtle light level, such as a hallway, landing, or a room with many downlights; choose 345 lumens where you want a brighter, more prominent light from each socket.
Can I mix 250 lumen and 345 lumen TCP bulbs in the same fitting?
It is best to use bulbs of the same lumen output within one fitting or room so the light level looks even; mixing different brightnesses can make some spots look dimmer than others.
