What this bulb is best for

Everyday indoor lighting where a clean, efficient white light and a very long lifespan matter — kitchens, hallways and utility spaces on a standard (non-dimmer) switch.

How to fit it

Switch off the power at the wall or light switch before changing any bulb. If the old bulb has just been in use, let it cool for a minute or two before touching it. Twist the old GU10 bulb anticlockwise until the two pins release from the ceramic base, then pull it straight out. Line up the pins of the new Sylvania bulb with the two slots in the fitting, push in gently and twist clockwise until it locks into place. Restore power and test the light. No transformer or driver is needed — GU10 LED bulbs run directly from the UK mains supply.

This bulb itself is IP20 rated, meaning it's designed for normal dry indoor use. Whether a GU10 fitting can go in a bathroom or outside depends on that fitting's own IP rating, not this bulb, so always check the fixture is rated for the location before fitting any GU10 bulb there.
