Safety and storage

Fresh Home has its own safety data sheet, SDS/1240, separate from the sheet for the standard Zoflora perfumes. It carries the same classification as the standard sheet, with the signal word Danger, highly flammable liquid and vapour with a flash point of 17°C, causes skin irritation, causes serious eye irritation, and harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Zoflora's advice for its concentrate applies here. Wear rubber gloves with the neat liquid, wash off splashes, keep it away from heat because it is flammable undiluted, and store the bottle out of children's reach.

The Fresh Home Zoflora safety data sheet is published by Zoflora.

Frequently asked questions

How is Fresh Home different from standard Zoflora?

Fresh Home is described on its safety data sheet as a household disinfectant that also neutralises odours, and it has its own sheet, SDS/1240. Its hazard classification matches the standard concentrate, and you dilute it the same way, 1 part to 40 parts water.

Is Zoflora pet safe?

It is, as long as it is diluted. Zoflora says the diluted product is safe around children and pets. Keep animals off treated surfaces until dry, rinse and dry pet bowls and toys, and do not use it in reptile vivaria.

Can you put Zoflora in a mist diffuser?

We would not put it in an electric diffuser. Zoflora says its concentrate is not for electrical appliances, and the undiluted liquid is flammable. For the Mountain Air scent in a ready to use format, there is the 800ml Multi Purpose Disinfectant Cleaner spray.

Is Fresh Home flammable?

Yes, when undiluted. The Fresh Home safety data sheet classes it as a highly flammable liquid and vapour with a flash point of 17°C. Keep the bottle away from heat, sparks and open flames, and keep it out of steam mops and electrical appliances.
