How to use Zoflora Bouquet in drains and around the home

1. For drains and plugholes, put on rubber gloves and pour the concentrate straight into ceramic or metal sinks, drains, toilets or plugholes.
2. For surfaces, mix 1 part Zoflora with 40 parts water (a 10ml capful makes about 400ml) and wipe or mop it on.
3. Mixed solution stays effective for 2 weeks, so make up only what you will use in that time.

Where to use it

Neat, Bouquet suits ceramic and metal sinks, drains, toilets and plugholes. Diluted, it covers washable hard surfaces around the house. Avoid polished wood, painted, varnished or composite granite surfaces, concrete, imprinted driveways, patios and dyed outdoor surfaces. Steam mops and electrical appliances are also off the list.

Safety and storage

The neat concentrate carries the signal word Danger. It is a highly flammable liquid and vapour with a flash point of 17°C, causes skin irritation and serious eye irritation, and is harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Perfume ingredients in it may cause an allergic reaction. Wear gloves and eye protection, and keep it away from heat, sparks and open flames. Do not smoke while using it. If it gets in your eyes, rinse with water for several minutes. Store it closed, somewhere cool and out of reach of children.

Can I pour Zoflora Bouquet neat down the drain?

Yes. Zoflora says the concentrate can go undiluted down ceramic and metal sinks, drains, toilets and plugholes. Wear rubber gloves when handling it neat, wash off any splashes, and keep it away from heat or flames, since the undiluted liquid is flammable.

Is Zoflora safe to use with a septic tank?

Zoflora lists its concentrate as suitable for homes with septic tanks, so Bouquet can go down sinks and toilets that drain to one. The safety data sheet still classes the product as harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects, so use the amounts the label gives.

How much water do I add to a capful of Bouquet?

About 400ml. The disinfecting ratio is 1 part Zoflora to 40 parts water, and one 10ml capful makes roughly 400ml of solution. Once mixed, the solution keeps its germ killing power for 2 weeks.

Can I use Bouquet alongside bleach or another drain cleaner?

No. Zoflora advises against mixing its concentrate with any other cleaning product, and that includes drain products. Use one product at a time. Zoflora also recommends against mixing two of its own fragrances together.
