What this bulb is best for
The compact 250 lumen output suits smaller fittings and lower-ceiling rooms where you want clean daylight white light without overpowering the space, hallways, landings, cloakrooms and cupboards are typical spots for this bulb. Keep it off dimmer circuits, as it's a non-dimmable LED.
How to fit it
- Turn off the power at the switch or consumer unit before you start.
- Let the old bulb cool down fully if it's just been switched off.
- Twist the old bulb anti-clockwise a quarter turn and pull it free of the GU10 fitting.
- Push the new TCP GU10 bulb into the fitting and twist it clockwise until it locks in place.
- Restore the power and test the light. No transformer or separate driver is needed, the driver circuitry is built into the bulb.
Frequently asked questions
Is this TCP GU10 bulb dimmable?
No, this is a non-dimmable LED. Fitting it to a dimmer switch can cause flickering, buzzing or premature failure, so keep it on a standard on/off circuit.
How bright is 250 lumens compared to other GU10 bulbs?
250 lumens is on the lower end for GU10 LEDs, it's a good match for smaller downlights or spaces where you don't want a very bright, high-output spotlight, such as hallways or cupboards.
How many bulbs come in this pack?
This listing is for a pack of 2 TCP LED GU10 bulbs.
What's the difference between this and TCP's 345 lumen glass GU10 bulb?
Both are 6500K daylight white and non-dimmable, but this 250 lumen bulb draws less power (3.3W) and gives a softer output, better suited to smaller fittings, while the 345 lumen glass version is brighter and suits larger rooms like kitchens.
