Johnstone's Quick Dry Non Drip Gloss in Brilliant White is a genuine all rounder, a fast drying, low odour gloss paint built for interior wood and metal including skirting boards, doors, furniture and metal fittings. Its non drip formula flows on smoothly with far less trailing or spatter than a thinner gloss, and because it is tough enough for metal surfaces, it is also a popular choice for giving radiators a fresh, glossy white finish once they have cooled and been properly prepped.

How to Use

Clean the surface to remove grease, dust and any old wax or polish. On previously glossed woodwork or metal, key the old finish with fine abrasive paper so the new coat has something to grip. Treat any bare metal or rusty patches with a suitable metal primer before you paint. If you are painting a radiator, make sure the heating is switched off and the radiator has fully cooled before you start, and keep it off until the paint has properly cured.

Stir the paint well before use and apply with a good quality brush, or a roller for larger flat areas, working thin, even coats in the direction of the grain on wood. Two coats normally give the best, most durable finish. Allow each coat to become touch dry, typically 1 to 2 hours, before recoating, and leave the full cure time stated on the tin, usually a few days, before the surface goes into heavy everyday use or a painted radiator is switched back on to full duty.
