How to Install a Hozelock Auto Reel

1. Choose a spot on an outside wall within reach of your tap. The reel needs room to swing through 180 degrees, so leave about 40cm clear on both sides of the bracket.

2. Release the wall bracket from the reel by gently pulling the lower part of the bracket away and letting it drop down.

3. Mark and drill the fixing holes (you’ll need a 7mm drill bit), insert the wall plugs and screw the bracket to the wall.

4. Mount the reel by tipping it back, placing its top socket on the bracket, then letting it fall onto the bottom bracket.

5. Connect the 2m feeder hose to the tap, attach the nozzle and check all connections for leaks before use.

How to Remove a Hozelock Auto Reel from the Wall

Turn off the tap, disconnect the feeder hose and take off any padlock. Hozelock recommends taking the reel down in winter to protect it from frost. Lift the reel off its bracket, reversing the way you mounted it. Never remove screws from the reel’s casing, as it contains a pre-tensioned spring.

Hozelock advises not to repair or take apart the reel mechanism, even outside the guarantee, and not to repair a damaged hose.
