The Coast Neso is a twin GU10 up and down wall light in black corrosion-resistant polycarbonate, designed to throw light both upward and downward from a single wall-mounted fitting. It's IP44 rated, making it suitable for covered or sheltered outdoor locations such as porches, patios and building entrances, as well as indoor use. This is a light fixture, not a bulb — it takes two GU10 LED lamps of up to 6W each, which are not included.

What this fixture is best for

Front and back doors, porches, patios and other sheltered exterior walls where uplight and downlight from one fitting is wanted, as well as garages and utility areas indoors. Because it's IP44 rated it's protected against splashing water from any direction, but it isn't intended for fully exposed, unsheltered locations or direct submersion — check the position is reasonably sheltered before fitting.

How to fit it

This is a mains wiring job, not a simple bulb change — isolate the circuit at the consumer unit before starting, and have the fixture wired in by a qualified electrician in line with UK wiring regulations. Once it's wired and mounted, fitting the two GU10 lamps is the same twist-and-lock action as any GU10 bulb: line up the pins with the slots in each holder, push in gently and twist clockwise to lock, then restore power at the consumer unit and test both the up and down lights.

GU10 LED lamps rated at a maximum of 6W each. Don't fit a higher-wattage lamp than the fixture is rated for.

Yes, it's IP44 rated, suitable for sheltered outdoor spots such as porches and covered patios. It's not rated for fully exposed locations or direct water jets — check your installation spot against IP44's splash-protection rating.

Do I need an electrician to fit this?

Yes. Unlike swapping a GU10 bulb, this is a hardwired mains light fixture, so installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
