Description
Description
Ambassador Round Fibre Pots are 6cm biodegradable plant pots supplied in our biggest pack of 96, perfect for gardeners raising large quantities of seedlings, seed cells or cuttings in one go. Made from peat free wood pulp fibre, each pot can be planted whole into the ground or a larger pot once roots appear, avoiding root disturbance altogether.
Key Features
- The largest pack in the range, 96 fibre pots per box, ideal for allotments and larger gardens
- Peat free, made from biodegradable wood pulp fibre
- Plant the whole pot into soil or a larger container, minimising root disturbance
- Naturally breaks down in the ground over a single growing season
- Round shape sits neatly in any seed tray or growing tray
- Compostable, an eco friendly alternative to plastic plant pots
How to Use
Fill each fibre pot with seed or multi purpose compost, then sow one or two seeds per pot or transplant a small seedling in. Water as normal and stand the pots in a seed tray or growing tray for easy handling and watering from below. With 96 pots included, this pack is ideal for sowing a full tray or several varieties of seedling at once. Because the pot itself is made from biodegradable plant fibre, once roots begin to show through the sides you can plant the entire pot straight into the ground or a larger container without disturbing the root ball. The fibre naturally breaks down in the soil over time, making these pots especially useful for plants that dislike root disturbance such as sweet peas, beans and courgettes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this pack a good choice for allotments or larger gardens?
Yes, at 96 pots this is the biggest pack in the range, so it suits gardeners sowing large batches of seeds or running a full seed tray over the growing season.
How long do fibre pots take to biodegrade?
Once planted in moist soil, Ambassador fibre pots typically break down within a single growing season, usually a few months, depending on soil conditions.
Can I plant the pot straight into the ground?
Yes. Once roots start showing through the sides, plant the whole pot with the rim fully covered by soil so it does not wick moisture away from the root ball.
Are these fibre pots compostable?
Yes, they are made from plant based wood pulp so they can go on the compost heap or be dug straight into beds and borders, unlike plastic pots.
