FAQs

How big is a 30 litre rubble sack?
This 30 litre rubble sack stands 770mm tall with a 1020mm circumference and 520mm open width once filled, enough for roughly one wheelbarrow load of soil, rubble or garden waste.

How much does a rubble sack full of rubble weigh?
A super heavy duty sack like this one, filled with bricks, hardcore or stone, can weigh 25 to 50kg depending on how densely it is packed. Fill to around two thirds full and keep the weight to around 20 to 25kg so it is safe to lift alone.

Can I use rubble sacks as membrane fabric?
No, even a super heavy duty sack like this is designed as a waste container rather than a permanent ground cover, damp proof membrane or weed control fabric, so it is not suitable for that use.

How to dispose of asbestos, can I use this rubble sack?
No. This, and every standard rubble sack, must not be used for asbestos waste. Asbestos needs UN approved, correctly labelled asbestos waste bags and disposal via a licensed site or registered waste carrier.
