Best Use For This Size

Use this brush on larger flat areas such as fence panels, sheds, wide skirting runs, cupboard doors and other broad surfaces where a narrower brush would slow the job down. It is not intended for fine cutting in, for that the 1 inch or 1.5 inch Monarch XL Elite brushes are a better fit, so many decorators keep this 4 inch alongside a smaller size to cover both jobs.

How To Use

• Dip roughly a third of the filament length into the paint and tap off the excess rather than wiping it against the tin.
• Apply the paint in broad, even strokes across the surface, reloading regularly since a brush this size covers ground quickly.
• Finish with a light laying off stroke over the whole section to even out the coat and remove brush marks.
• Clean the brush straight after use, warm soapy water works for water based paints while oil based paints need the correct solvent, then reshape the filaments and leave the brush to dry flat.
