This Securit white plastic louvre vent is a 9 x 9 inch (approximately 229 x 229mm) ventilation cover, sized to span three brick courses, ideal for airbrick openings, plaster vent frames, or doors that need a higher rate of background airflow. The angled slats let air move freely through the opening in both directions while shedding wind driven rain and blocking leaves and larger debris.

Made from durable white plastic, this louvre vent will not rust or corrode, and being one of the larger standard UK vent sizes it is often specified where UK Approved Document C style background ventilation requirements call for a higher free air space per vent, such as suspended timber floors or larger sub floor voids. It comes fitted with a fixed flyscreen riveted permanently into the vent body, keeping out flies and larger insects while still allowing the mesh to be wiped clean in place. This vent is not suitable for venting gas appliances or flues and is intended for background ventilation purposes only.

Along a wall, vents are typically spaced roughly every 1.8 to 2 metres, with vents fitted on at least two opposite sides of a building to allow proper cross ventilation under a suspended timber floor.
