Description
Description
Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood 750ml in Egyptian Cotton is a mid-sheen satin finish paint for interior wood and metal, ideal for skirting boards, doors, door frames and other trim. It gives you a durable, wipeable finish in the same warm, soft, creamy neutral beige as Dulux Egyptian Cotton wall paint (colour code 40YY 65/061), so your trim and walls coordinate perfectly. Egyptian Cotton has a subtle warm undertone that shifts gently with the light, taking on a raw cashmere warmth under warm artificial light and softer grey undertones in cool, north-facing daylight. It pairs naturally with stone, pale wood, clay, plaster and soft greys.
Key features
- Self-undercoating on most surfaces, so a separate undercoat is not always needed
- Wipeable, durable satin finish for wood and metal trim
- Non-yellowing formula that keeps its true colour over time
- Quick Dry, low-odour formula, recoat in as little as 4-6 hours
- Coverage of up to 12m2 per litre
- Can be applied by brush, roller or spray
How to use Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood
- Prepare the surface: make sure it is clean, dry and free of dust, grease and flaking paint. Lightly sand glossy or bare wood to key the surface.
- Undercoat if needed: Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood is self-undercoating on most previously painted surfaces. For bare or factory-primed wood, or where you are making a strong colour change, apply a suitable undercoat first for the best finish and coverage.
- Stir well, then apply the first coat evenly by brush, roller or spray.
- Allow to dry and recoat after 4-6 hours.
- Apply a second full coat for a durable, wipeable, non-yellowing satin finish. Allow to dry fully before normal use.
Frequently asked questions
How much coverage do I get from a 750ml tin?
Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood covers up to 12m2 per litre, so a 750ml tin covers approximately 9m2 per coat, depending on the surface.
How long before I can recoat?
You can recoat after 4-6 hours, making it easy to apply two full coats in a single day.
Do I need an undercoat on bare wood?
Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood is self-undercoating on most surfaces, but on bare or factory-primed wood, or for strong colour changes, applying a separate undercoat first is recommended for the best finish and coverage.
How many coats will I need?
Two full coats of Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood are recommended for a durable, even, non-yellowing satin finish.
