Vitax Q4 Traditional Formula 20kg

Vitax Q4 Traditional Formula 20kg is the original pelleted Q4 fertiliser in a bulk bag. It was first developed for commercial growers and is a long standing choice for bigger blooms and heavier crops.

Buying in bulk suits allotment holders, keen vegetable growers, landscapers and anyone feeding a large garden.

What Q4 feeds

• Fruit, including apples, pears, plums, currants, gooseberries, raspberries and strawberries

What is in it

Q4 is a compound fertiliser with an NPK of 5.3 : 7.5 : 10.0, plus magnesium and trace elements including iron, boron, copper and manganese. The pellets are low dust and easy to handle.

How far does Vitax Q4 Traditional Formula 20kg go?

At the standard rate of 140g per m², the 20kg bag covers around 140m² of beds. Higher rates for fruit trees and tomatoes use more.

Need a different quantity? There is also a 10kg bag of Q4 Traditional Formula, and the Vitax Q4 Fertiliser 4.5kg for smaller gardens.

Application rates

• Roses: 140g per m² before planting, or as a spring dressing for established bushes.
• Flowers and vegetables: 140g per m² before sowing or planting, then 70g per m² once or twice in summer for vegetables.
• Apples, pears and plums: 175g per m² before planting or in early spring.
• Tomatoes and chrysanthemums: 200g per m² before planting, then 35g per m² every 3 to 4 weeks.
• New lawns: 140g per m² before sowing or turfing.

How to apply it

Spread the pellets evenly on moist soil and lightly hoe them into the surface. In dry weather, water them in.
